News - Prolongation in 2012 of 4% IVA measure on new constructions
Until the end of this year, VAT (IVA) on newly-built homes remains decreased from 8% to 4%. The main aim of this decision is to reduce the existing stock of new houses.
If you want to (have) build your own villa, like one of our modern design villas, various interim payments have to be made. On all payments made before December 31st, 2012, the 4% IVA-rule applies. Please note that it does not apply to landowners ("autopromotores") that only contract the construction.
Also turnkey newly built homes (ready to move in) benefit from this extraordinary decision, like for instance a lovely villa in Valle del Portet to which this rule applies. Another example to which this measurement applies is an absolutely perfect Mediterranean style villa under construction, close to Moraira and the sea.
