News - 5.7 million foreigners in Spain

The total population of Spain is a bit more than 47.000.000 people on the official registers and approx. 5,7 million of them are foreigners.

Of the foreigners, nearly 2,4 mln are from EU countries and 3.3 mln are from non-EU countries. The British are the second most numerous group of foreign residents with nearly 400.000, beaten only by the ± 865.000 Romanians.

Amongst the non-EU residents, the most numerous are the Moroccans with nearly 800.000.
