BLOG - Almond Blossom: every year again beautiful!

The flowering of the almond trees has started. Everywhere in the region the beautiful white and pink flowers can be seen. The Costa Blanca owes its name to these attractive flowers and not, as many people think, to the white sandy beaches.

The production of almonds in Spain is concentrated in the provinces of Cataluña, Valencia, Baleares (Mallorca), Murcia, Andalusia and Aragón. Spain is world´s second largest almond producer (after the United States).

The blossom can be seen on the entire Costa Blanca, but in particular in the Jalon Valley, the road from Parcent to Castell de Castells and the valleys of Guadalest.
